So Seventies!

It looks like green has made its debut for the fall in CB2's newest ad campaign. The banding on the white pillows reminds me of the banding on this vintage pyrex baking dish. Good for baking up fudge brownies or a special cake, this 8 x 8 dish is looking for a place to call home.

Vera + Martha = a very good thing

This vintage Vera Neumann scarf can be turned into the perfect "bangle bag" as featured in Martha Stewart's new magazine, Blueprint. Easy instructions for the "bangle bag" as well as 2 other types of bags that can be made from scarves are featured on Martha's website, under Blueprint. You will need to become a member in order to view the instructions, but once you have signed up (free, of course) just find the Blueprint section (under magazines) and click on "3 simple scarf bag patterns." There are so many uses for this pretty scarf. Please feel free to list any suggestions you might have. If you like Vera Neumann, I will be listing more scarves in the weeks to come.
If you would like to purchase this scarf, please contact me at suzy@lorenzstudio.com.

Peaches & Cream

This tablecloth would be the perfect finishing touch to an upcoming special dinner and the "Peach Lustre" casserole dish by Fire King adds a touch of glamour to the setting. Paired with any simple white dishes, these 2 beauties take center stage!
Please post comments if you have suggestions such as yummy recipes that would serve up well in the casserole dish!

magnolia blossom (cocoa) 24" x 24" vintage fabric remnants

Add a hem around each piece, and these vintage fabric remnants would make great napkins that would coordinate so well in a kitchen with Crate and Barrel’s folia dish towels or russet stripe dish towels featured on hostessblog. The background is a rich cocoa brown and the magnolia blossoms are a soft tan with hints of gold and periwinkle. The leaves are pumpkin and rust and the small flowers are steel blue and sky blue. There are 2 fabric pieces available, each measuring 24” x 24”.
If you have suggestions of how this fabric may be used, or you have seen other items that would coordinate well with this fabric, please add your comments and suggestions. I would love for this blog to become a forum of ideas and suggestions.
