Vintage "Texture"

I was thrilled to come home this afternoon to the newest Pottery Barn catalog which features these gorgeous Jordan Floral Pillow Covers on the front cover. As I inspected them more closely, I realized the colors and texture remind me of this great vintage fabric. I just love it when "yesterday's" designs fit in so seamlessly with today's looks. Although these pillows are featured in the living room, the Jordan collection is available as a bedding ensemble. The vintage fabric is available in my etsy shop.

Let's wrap it up!

One of my favorite parts about getting ready for Christmas is wrapping the gifts! I love to color coordinate the wrapping paper, ribbons and gift cards so they look cute under my tree while they are waiting to be opened on their special day. I'm not sure why I put so much thought into it, because no one else really cares as much as I do about how their gift is wrapped! I guess it's my way of "decorating" for Christmas!
So, in honor of gift wrapping, I am posting this vintage wrapping paper. And wouldn't it look so pretty with just one of these darling little butterflies hovering above its garden of shimmering silver! The wrapping paper is available in my etsy shop and the butterflies are available at paper source.

Holiday Lights

Not only am I in love with these vintage Christmas lights, but the graphics on the packaging are too cute for words. Santa is forever being pulled on his sleigh by the reindeer. The oddly shaped hanging ornaments are charming. And Dina-Lite even put their product on the Christmas tree. I don't know about your lights, but mine never stand straight up like have been illustrated in the picture to the left! Although the tag line at the bottom reads: "These Holiday Lights Put Life in Your Christmas Tree" so there must be something special about them!
If you are interested in bidding on this Dina-Lite Set or any other of the other 3 vintage Christmas lights I have up for auction, please visit my eBay page and click on the listings on the left side of the page.

"Traditional" Red & Green

These satin sheen and glass ornaments will really brighten up your Christmas in traditional red & green.
I just received the most adorable red & white striped sateen ornaments from my Vintage Christmas Swap Partner and I'm afraid I'm going to have have to keep these red & green ornamnets for myself!

A Very Vintage Christmas

Here's a real spin on Christmas - turquoise paired with amber colored ornaments. I had originally planned to just include the turquoise ornaments in this kit, but I saw the little amber colored vintage indent ornament sitting in its box and noticed what a great contrast it provided to the turquoise. I gathered a few orange ornaments and some pretty yellow ones and I am so happy with the end result! Also included are the most precious vintage bird Christmas lights. I'm not sure what my fascination with Christmas birds is lately, but these lights sure make me smile every time I see them.

Birds of a Feather Flock Together

This little feather tree is an absolute delight. The prelit tree is covered in a variety of ornaments including: small aqua bird ornaments which come adorned with their own feather tails; small aqua vintage mini ornaments; tall ball and teardrop shaped ornaments in a deep aqua, silver and bright magenta and a lovely garland of glass beads that just sparkle in the light.
The feather tree and ornaments are sold already!

Oh Christmas Tree!

I've been busy hunting and gathering (as my mother would call it) some beautiful new and vintage Christmas ornaments and I have put together a Christmas Tree and Trim Kit that I am selling in my etsy shop. This tree has actually been up for quite a few weeks ( to the confusion of my poor husband), but I was waiting to find some finishing perfect touches. My favorites on the tree include the apple green acorn ornaments dusted in glitter as well as the brown pinecone ornaments which also have their share of dusted glitter on the tops. I came across some vintage mini green ornaments which remind me of hanging dewdrops and they add just the right amount of sparkle.
